Move Your Doggie is looking for motivated, high energy people who love walking dogs, value teamwork and have a positive attitude. The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to create an exceptional customer experience. You must be able to handle multiple dogs at once and dogs of all sizes and temperaments. At Move Your Doggie we have a genuine love for dogs and pets of all kinds. We are fully bonded, insured and promise our clients fun-filled adventure, socialization and exercise for their pets.

Mandatory Requirements

$

Flexible availability between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., Monday to Friday

$
Must be available during our busiest times between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday to Friday
$
Must be available to work weekends if necessary
$
Must be available to work on recognized holidays if necessary
$
Must have a valid Ontario driver’s licence
$
Must have your own reliable transportation
$
Must have access to a lap-top, computer and/or smartphone.
$
Must provide a Criminal Records check
$
Must be bondable

Duties and Responsibilities

Include but may not be limited to the following

$
Dog walking: individual and pack walks
$

Puppy potty breaks: 10-15 minute drop-in, or 1 or 2, 30 minute visits

$
Overnight, in-home pet sitting: spend the night in our client’s homes
$
Pet sitting/visits: Dogs, cats, and other small pets
$
Pet taxi: to a location of client’s choice
$
Medical: oral medications, injections, etc.
$
Using the Time to Pet portal to communicate with clients (sending updates and photographs)
$
Using Time to Pet portal to communicate with management
$
Attend team meetings/team building events

Preferred

At least 5 years of personal or professional experience with dogs

Dog training certification and pet industry experience is an asset.

Willing to do overnight/live-in pet sitting at client’s home

Knowledge in dog behaviour and psychology
